Rush University Medical Center (RUMC)
Architect - Architrave, Ltd.
Development of approximately 9,100 square feet of existing spaces within a multi-story medical office building adaptively reused to accommodate relocated medical tenants.
In their new spaces, Dr Katz-Rheumatology Associates, PT/OT, and PM&R were each faced with a reduction in floor area. Working with staff from each user, new tenant spaces were developed to meet new objectives: improved functionality, efficiency, and maximization of natural light and openness. Further, within each suite, public and private areas were articulated and wayfinding enhanced through deliberate disposition of patient, staff, and common areas. In concert with a larger building program, these projects were developed on a fast-track schedule and achieved both schedule and cost parameters established by Rush University.
